Other Forms of Enrichment
At Westleigh Methodist Primary School we want our children to have a range of experiences. This includes the chance to participate in performances for an audience. The aim is to build confidence, communication, creativity and collaboration.
It allows our children to express themselves, their feelings and emotions.
It is lovely to share our learning and performances with families too!
In the Autumn term 2024 - 25, we have:
- Nursery Nativity 13.12.24
- Reception Nativity 17.12.24
- KS1 Nativity 18.12.24
- KS2 Carol Service 16.12.24
- Year 6 class worship 39.10.24
The children shared information about their class value of JUSTICE. They read bible stories about justice and biographies of key, inspirational figures such as Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King.
- Remembrance Day Service 11.11.24
On Monday 11th November 2024, our school held a service with families, Epworth Trust and staff from the Startwell Centre. Children thought about the importance of remembrance and held a minute's silence. As part of the service, all classes laid a wreath of hand-made poppies and children in Year 3 and Year 6 carried out a 'March Past'. The Ethos Committee led us in a prayer and read the Kohima Epitaph. Year 6 children read a poem entitled, 'In Waters Deep'. Respect is important at Westleigh Methodist Primary School.
